Job Role - Audio Technician

This is a full-time position for a senior experienced audio technician servicing both the Greater Sydney Area and open to work Australia-wide on site-specific projects. With a track record of excellence in audio engineering and event production, in this role, you will lead audio operations, ensure high-quality sound delivery, and provide mentorship to junior technicians. You will have significant opportunities to implement innovative solutions, shape best practices, and contribute to the success of a wide range of events.

The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing faults, and maintaining audio systems, as well as installing and integrating audio systems to match client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure seamless event execution by supervising the preparation and setup of all audio equipment, including cables, amplifiers, speakers, and software.
  • Provide guidance on proper handling, configuration, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality performance standards.
  • Oversee the bump-in and bump-out processes for audio equipment, ensuring correct handling and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Train event staff on the correct usage of equipment to avoid damage and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients, creative teams, and producers to interpret briefs and deliver high-quality audio solutions.
