Electrical Engineering Lead

About the Role:

This role is part of a core professional group, contributing significantly to the team's overall design capability.

The position is focused on engineering design for the mining and utilities sectors.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience with taking on various roles within a project, from design and planning stages through to finalization and delivery.

Lead Electrical Engineers will have at least 10 years of industry experience with a solid track record in the mining and utilities sector.

Career Requirements:

Senior-level project design experience in minerals processing applications, power generation, power distribution/transmission, or the utilities sector.

High voltage engineering design expertise.

Experience in a consulting capacity.

Power simulation software knowledge.

Technical Skills:

Exceptional technical skills in power simulation assessments, including load flow, fault level, motor starting, and harmonics.

Regulatory submissions experience.

Electrical plant selection and specifications – Transformers, Switchgear, Cables, Motors.

Earth grid design.

HV and LV switchboard design.

Power line design.

Protection systems, device settings, coordination & fault studies.

Testing and commissioning wiring, schematic, and termination diagrams.

Electrical Engineering Degree, recognized by relevant authorities.

Demonstrable positive attitude.

Commercial awareness.
