Mechanical Leader

This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide teams in high-risk environments. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, mechanical aptitude, and the confidence to hold technical conversations with stakeholders.

• Leading field crews and ensuring safe, compliant work delivery
• Performing and overseeing specialist jacking during slew bearing changes, track frame replacements, and shutdown support
• Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to problem-solve and deliver on expectations

Key responsibilities include frequent travel, locally and interstate, for periods of 7-10 days, occasionally longer when conducting our specialist jacking work with associated shutdown support.

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to hold technical conversations with stakeholders
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• A willingness to learn new systems, think on your feet, and adapt to changing situations
