Job Title: Aps5 Intelligence Analyst

This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about intelligence and analysis. As an Aps5 Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for providing key support to securing the aviation and maritime environment.

You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, conducting collection, evaluation and analysis of information used to produce Criminal Intelligence Assessments. These assessments directly support decision-making responsibility regarding suitability of Aviation and Maritime Security Identification Card applicants.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate ability to develop high-quality intelligence products, highly developed oral and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, and drive to tackle complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop intelligence products that inform decision-making by internal and external stakeholders.

- Capture insights from intelligence operations and investigations, participate in ACIC intelligence collection activities and processes.

- Maintain high level awareness of serious and organised crime environment, identify priorities, including new and emerging threats and nationally-significant criminal activity.

- Apply well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks for intelligence within a law enforcement environment.

Essential Qualifications:

- Complete Criminal Intelligence Development Program Level 1 and level 2.

Desirable Qualifications:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or thematic knowledge of serious and organised crime and factors that drive and influence crime.

Eligibility:

- Citizenship: To be eligible for employment, applicants must be an Australian citizen.

- Security Clearance: Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
