Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading a team of technical testers to design, implement and maintain robust frameworks and tooling that elevate testing capabilities across software applications.

  • Embedded coaching within delivery teams to establish test automation approaches tailored for the team and their needs.
  • Designing and building tools that improve delivery team efficiency in automating their testing.
  • Collaborating with DevOps engineers to setup and maintain infrastructure as code for test automation platforms and tooling.
  • Promoting knowledge sharing among developers, test engineers and senior test engineers on all aspects of code quality.
  • Evaluating and selecting suitable tools for the team's use.
  • Crafting automation code standards.
  • Prioritizing project backlogs.

The Role's Accountabilities

Leading a team of technical testers and ensuring the consistent delivery of reliable, scalable software solutions.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Essential technical skills: Experience with Java 17+, SPA frontend framework (ideally Angular 15+), GitLab, Terraform and Docker. Familiarity with various testing frameworks such as Cypress, and Playwright. Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab, AWS for seamless integration and deployment processes.

Knowledge and experience: 5+ years leading mature Technical Test teams. Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining CI pipelines and best practices related to Test Automation in CI/CD delivery. Understanding of AGILE testing methods and the role Test Automation plays. Excellent communication skills, including with technical staff, end-users and management.
