Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support the provisioning and upkeep of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems and solutions for national defense programs.

About the Role

This role will provide the opportunity to lead and champion the development and implementation of new cyber security engineering approaches, plans, techniques and technologies to support continual improvement. As a key technical leader, you will ensure that engineering staff receive the technical guidance, training and development required for them to perform their assigned roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop a team of experienced cybersecurity engineering professionals.
  • Ensure that engineering staff receive the technical guidance, training and development required for them to perform their assigned roles.
  • Lead and champion the development and implementation of new cyber security engineering approaches, plans, techniques and technologies.
  • Solve complex problems by information gathering, analysis and investigation.
  • Actively identify and manage risks and opportunities in the best interests of the business.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and communicate effectively internally and externally.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Prior experience and technical leadership of engineering and/or ICT projects in software development, cybersecurity and/or security operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the company as a technical expert at internal and external customer meetings.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Qualifications, Certifications or related prior experience as a Cyber Security tech support and/or Cyber Security Engineer.
