Job Title:

Cyber Security Governance and Compliance Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Governance and Compliance professional to lead our cyber security governance frameworks, policies, and assurance activities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cyber security risk management, with experience in developing and implementing robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate cyber security governance frameworks, policies, and assurance activities.
  • Identify compliance gaps and collect evidence to demonstrate alignment with NSW Cyber Security Policy.
  • Coordinate activities to meet key deadlines set by Cyber NSW.
  • Act as primary liaison with Cyber NSW during Assurance Framework Pilot.
  • Provide strategic advice, progress updates, and escalate risks to senior leadership.
  • Engage with technical and business teams to gather evidence and drive action.
  • Prepare high-level reports, briefs, and recommendations to inform decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in cyber security, risk, compliance, or governance roles.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver results in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive stakeholder relationships and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience preparing strategic reports, briefs, and advice.
  • Tertiary qualifications in cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
