The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 plays a pivotal role in our virtual care team, providing expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy services within the area of nursing specialty across multiple service groups, target populations, and healthcare professionals.
As a key member of the team, the CNC will provide high-level clinical support and advice on appropriate treatment and access to specialist referral pathways. They will also offer guidance on nursing care and support clinical decision-making through virtual modalities, ensuring safe patient care progression and timely outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse leader who can provide clinical oversight and guidance across a broad range of integrated programs, including Virtual Urgent Care, Early Supported Discharge, and ED hospital avoidance initiatives.
We are looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking nurse leader who is ready to be actively involved in clinical operations, service planning, and team leadership. Requirements- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post-registration experience and postgraduate qualifications with at least 3 years full time experience in the relevant field.
- A well-developed understanding of virtual care and demonstrated understanding of urgent care, hospital prevention and the complex requirements for patients at high risk of hospital presentation.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership, and experience in the provision of education to peers, clients and other service providers.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cultivate productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
