Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist Engineer to join our operations team. As a Data Scientist Engineer, you will play a vital role in helping our customers get set up with Dataro and getting the most out of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance of model predictions and automation of quality assurance tasks.
  • Analyze data and produce reports to support Dataro's business objectives and clients.
  • Assist clients through the onboarding process, including quality assurance of machine learning models, predictions, and related tools.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and investigation of data, systems, and models in response to customer success queries.
  • Analyze, maintain, and improve Dataro's integration, data transformation, and modeling systems.
  • Work primarily with Python, SQL (Postgres + Athena/Presto + DuckDB), but may be required to pick up and work with other technologies on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Improve and maintain a high-quality codebase through adherence to style, linting, testing, code review, and working with a shared git repository.
  • Discuss and collaborate with the team to understand and solve problems.
  • Investigate issues with and help to improve our data transformation pipelines.
  • Work side-by-side with experienced data scientists and data engineers.
Requirements
  • Extremely strong Python skills.
  • Extremely strong SQL skills.
  • Strong data science skills.
  • Experience with databases and professional software engineering practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Nice to Have
  • Experience with the fundraising and non-profit sector.
  • Startups.
  • AWS (EC2, Batch, Lambda, S3, Athena).
  • DuckDB.
  • Git, CI/CD pipelines.
