About the Role

Gorilla Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals recover from injury, illness, or disability and return to their normal lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychosocial coaching to participants with injury, illness, or disability
  • Manage complex psychological issues and liaise with treating health professionals
  • Deliver case management and coordinate rehabilitation services
  • Work across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, providing viable solutions and recommendations for clients
  • Develop graduated return plans by liaising with doctors regarding appropriate timeframes and goals

What We're Looking For
  • AHPRA Provisional or General Psychologist Registration
  • Associate ASORC (Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors) membership or Full RCCAA (Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australasia) membership as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • Relevant Psychology and Rehabilitation Counsellor qualification
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
