Job Title: Production Line Technician

We are seeking a skilled production line technician to fill a key role in our manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced, technical environment and be able to work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless production processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art equipment, including chocolate moulding lines, enrobing, depositing, mixing fillings, and tempering chocolate.

In addition to operating equipment, the production line technician will be responsible for ensuring quality control and meeting regulatory guidelines by being responsible for end-to-end machine operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate state-of-the-art chocolate moulding lines, including enrobing, depositing, mixing fillings, and tempering chocolate.
  • Ensure quality control and meet GMP guidelines by being responsible for end-to-end machine operations.
  • Organise packing staff on end-of-belt packing.
  • Follow set recipes and methods to create chocolates.
  • Mix and blend ingredients to make fillings ready for depositing.
  • Follow a production schedule.
  • Perform consistent heavy lifting up to 25kg.
  • Clean down machinery and perform line changeovers.
  • Complete paperwork and maintain traceability.
  • Order stock.

Requirements:

  • Background in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and FMCG.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Pride in work quality.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and tidy work area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick learning attitude.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to adhere to Food Safety policies and standards.
