Director of Emergency Response

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to deliver key elements of the University's emergency readiness and fire safety program.
- Deliver engaging, face-to-face emergency training across multiple campuses
- Create and maintain evacuation diagrams across the estate
- Coordinate our network of emergency wardens – from recruitment and training to ongoing engagement
- Support fire safety measure compliance
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of emergency preparedness principles and fire safety compliance, high-level organisational and administrative capability, experience interpreting legislation and applying it to operational contexts, and a collaborative, calm and solutions-focused approach.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement critical components of the University’s emergency readiness and fire safety programme. The selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate emergency training and awareness initiatives that enhance the overall preparedness and resilience of the university community.
