Intermediate Tax Accountant Role

Our accounting firm is seeking a tax professional to join their team as an Intermediate-Senior Tax Accountant. This role involves collaborating closely with partners, reporting directly to them.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Compliance – preparing tax returns, BAS, and peer reviews
  • Advisory – discussing KPIs, succession planning, wills, and providing broader business advice
  • Client-facing – building strong relationships and delivering value beyond compliance

To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in public practice
  • Exposure to Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) is preferred but not essential
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards it
  • Comfortable using Xero, XPM, and HowNow
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, advisory mindset
