Reliability Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to lead the maintenance and reliability function across our assets.

This role will ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations through proactive strategies, planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance programs to maximise equipment uptime
  • Oversee shutdowns, turnarounds, and long-term maintenance planning across all assets
  • Manage CMMS (SAP/Maximo) and use data analytics to drive asset performance and reliability
  • Lead contractor and vendor performance to ensure quality, safety, and value for money
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs, lead root cause failure analyses, and embed continuous improvement practices
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and senior leaders to optimise asset life-cycle and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with HSEC requirements and foster a strong safety culture
  • Provide on-site leadership with regular travel to Orbost and Port Campbell facilities

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in oil & gas or heavy industry maintenance and reliability
  • Proven leadership of maintenance teams and contractor/vendor management
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance methodologies, asset management, and reliability engineering
  • Demonstrated success managing shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects
  • Proficient with CMMS (SAP/Maximo) and data-driven maintenance practices
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in engineering, maintenance, or related discipline
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel regularly to Orbost and Port Campbell sites
  • Commitment to HSEC standards and continuous improvement culture
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and reliability engineering, with experience in leading teams and managing contractors.

A bachelor's degree in engineering, maintenance, or a related field is required, with a master's degree being an advantage.

The candidate should have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, operations, and engineering teams.
