Job Title: Insurance Risk Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Risk Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating risk premiums, providing expert advice on insurance and risk management matters, and developing relationships with clients to promote cross-selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate risk premiums based on sector-specific risks, reinsurance cessions, and underwriting costs.
  • Advise and assist clients on insurance and risk management matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to promote cross-selling opportunities and ensure account retention.
  • In coordination with internal teams, determine suitable reinsurance for risk placements.
  • Support business planning and forecasting, monitoring financial exposure within set limits.
  • Maintain awareness of claims and provide input on settlements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the relevant class of business.
  • Ability to perform tasks according to established procedures and exercise discretion.
  • Use judgment to identify and solve day-to-day problems in straightforward situations.
  • Marketing skills: plan sales and business development, integrating techniques, tools, and information to support profitable growth.
  • Negotiation/Sales skills: plan, structure, and conduct negotiations with brokers and clients.
  • Analytical Skills: visualize, gather information, articulate, analyze, and solve complex problems.
  • Interpersonal Savvy: build relationships with brokers, clients, and colleagues to improve personal profile and reputation.
  • Strategy and Planning: make underwriting decisions to fulfill business strategic plans and deliver results.
