Track Design Expert

The role involves designing, reviewing and developing integrated track infrastructure for both internal and external projects. A key aspect of this role is applying expertise in Perway/Track Engineering, survey principles, asset management and constructability aspects to design solutions.

  • Designing Track Infrastructure: Utilize knowledge of track geometry, earthworks and corridor modeling to create comprehensive designs for brownfield railway projects.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams, external stakeholders and third-party consultants to deliver design solutions.
  • Feasibility Studies & Risk Management: Conduct technical feasibility studies and participate in risk assessments for track design projects, including derailment investigations and other safety-related evaluations.
  • Client & Regulatory Presentations: Present track design concepts and plans to internal teams, clients and regulatory authorities for approval.
About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Strong Understanding of Track Design Principles: Ability to apply knowledge of track geometry, earthworks and corridor modeling to design solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of Perway/Track Engineering concepts, survey principles and asset management principles.
  • Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work with internal teams, external stakeholders and third-party consultants to deliver design solutions.
  • Technical Feasibility Studies: Experience in conducting technical feasibility studies and participating in risk assessments for track design projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Experience in presenting designs to clients, internal teams and regulatory authorities for approval.

Civil Engineering degree with 6-8 years of experience in Railway Alignment Track Design and Engineering is required.
