Track Design Engineer Position

Arc Infrastructure's rail network is a key component of Western Australia's freight transport system. As an experienced Track Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our 5,500km rail network.

The Opportunity

As part of Arc Infrastructure's dynamic Engineering Team at Perth Airport office, you will work on designing track infrastructure for brownfield railway projects. Your expertise will be utilized to apply Perway/Track Engineering principles, survey principles, asset management concepts, and constructability aspects to design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Perway/Track Engineering principles to design track infrastructure, particularly for brownfield railway projects.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external consultants to consolidate design requirements and implement design solutions.
  • Address safety, site constraints, operational/environmental factors in proposed design solutions.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to inform track infrastructure design.
  • Provide technical support and conduct peer reviews for internal teams.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of track design principles, including track geometry and corridor modeling.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Perway/Track Engineering concepts and survey principles.
  • Proven ability to work with internal teams, external stakeholders, and third-party consultants.
  • Experience in conducting technical feasibility studies, risk assessments, and safety evaluations.
