Job Description

As an RN3 Nurse Consultant, you will be responsible for driving improved patient outcomes and service delivery excellence in the Mental Health Inpatient Rehab Unit. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging your clinical expertise and leadership skills to drive quality improvement initiatives and project planning.
  • Contributing to the coordination and management of projects, programs, and research initiatives that enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Developing and implementing competency-building resources to prepare for the introduction of new Mental Health Inpatient Rehabilitation beds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Enrollment in an approved mental health course or a qualification in mental health practice.
  • At least 3 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Mental Health nursing.
  • Demonstrated competence in Mental Health nursing practice in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Experience in managing projects, quality improvement activities, and project planning.
  • Able to evaluate results of research and integrate findings into reports, where relevant.
