A major project in Western Australia is seeking a seasoned logistics professional to support the delivery of its logistics activities. This contract role will suit an experienced individual with a strong track record in project logistics across complex, multidisciplinary projects.

This person will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive logistics strategy that aligns with the overall project schedule and objectives.

The key responsibilities include building detailed logistics budgets, acting as the primary logistics contact for the project, integrating logistics timelines with the broader project plan, planning for procurement, allocation, and coordination of critical logistics resources, identifying potential logistical risks and developing robust mitigation and contingency strategies.

Additionally, this person will ensure all logistics operations are compliant with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for reporting and review, monitor logistics performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement across operations, systems, and processes.

This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability, excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, strong planning, budgeting, and risk management capability, and experience working with cross-functional teams and interfacing with client-side SMEs.

The ideal candidate must have extensive upstream oil and gas logistics project experience within Australia, be based in Perth, WA or willing to relocate at own cost, and have full working rights in AUstralia without the need for sponsorship.
