About the Role

This 24-month traineeship is perfect for those interested in a career in surface extraction operations. You'll work alongside experienced professionals and gain a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III - Surface Extraction Operations.

The role involves working on a rotating roster, including nights and weekends, and requires a current P2 drivers' licence or higher. A dedicated mentor will support and guide you through the process.

About the Benefits
  • You'll earn an excellent flat pay rate of $47-$48 per hour, with superannuation paid on all rostered hours.

About the Qualifications
  • This competency-based traineeship leads to a nationally recognised qualification, Certificate III - Surface Extraction Operations.
  • Hands-on experience in an on-the-job environment with THIESS Mt Arthur Coal.

About the Requirements
  • Safe and productive work ethic.
  • Hold a current Car P2 drivers' licence or higher.
  • Be able to work a rotating roster, including nights and weekends.
  • Provide two recent work referees.
  • Be able to provide a local residential address.
  • Be available to attend required interviews throughout the recruitment process.
  • Able to undergo and pass full Order 43 Coal Services Health medical and D&A Test.
  • You will be asked to provide an RMS driving record for consideration if you are invited for an interview.
