Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control power system operations to guarantee uninterrupted energy delivery.
- Identify and address incidents or failures across transmission and distribution networks.
- Develop and execute restoration plans during emergency situations.
- Conduct switching programs during planned outages while adhering to safety and operational standards.
- Implement System Emergency Response strategies in line with defined procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and training of systems used in power system operations.
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities across processes, systems and operational outputs.
- Technical experience in a network or generation environment.
- Proven ability to manage real-time decision-making under pressure.
- Skilled in executing and approving safe switching programs for planned and unplanned works.
- Strong understanding of transmission, distribution and generation operations.
- Relevant qualifications include Electrical Trade Certificate III, Electrical Diploma or Advanced Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Science.
- Additionally, a Certificate IV in ESI Generation Operations and a valid Class 'C' Driver's Licence are required.
