Development Compliance Specialist

This position is a key role in ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and council policies. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering planning and development, building, plumbing and stormwater drainage matters.
Main Responsibilities- Administering planning and development, building, plumbing and stormwater drainage matters as per relevant legislative requirements and council policies.
- Maintaining safety standards and ensuring alignment with community expectations.
- Providing high-quality services in planning and development, building, plumbing and stormwater drainage consistent with council and community standards.
- Proven experience in regulatory fields with comprehensive knowledge of relevant acts, regulations and codes.
- Able to interpret state and local government legislation and enforce relevant laws.
- Effective communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Nine-day fortnight scheme.
