Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in providing flexible, holistic, and culturally responsive health services to Aboriginal families with children aged 0-8 years accessing health services.

This role will see you provide comprehensive support to families, fostering positive connections between community and Health Services. You will work collaboratively with other professionals to partner with the New Directions Team in closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community members.

Your expertise will help empower families, improve child health, and reduce healthcare inequalities. As part of this dynamic team, you will be supported in your professional development through regular district-wide CPD days, local discipline-specific meetings, and access to experienced Level 3 Social Workers.

About the Role:

  • Provide holistic support to Aboriginal families with children aged 0-8 years accessing health services.
  • Collaborate with the New Directions Team to close the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community members.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and support to families.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor degree in social work or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
