Job Title: Masonry Specialist

Job Description:

A skilled mason is required to undertake the construction and repair of buildings. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III/IV in Bricklaying or equivalent, along with 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, creating structures using various materials
  2. Maintaining accurate records while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  3. Laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes, spreading mortar between joints
  4. Embedding blocks in mortar, removing excess mortar
  5. Strengthening and sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials
  6. Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement
  7. Repairing building blocks
  8. Managing material quantities for jobs
  9. Using hand tools, brick-cutting machines, spirit levels, and plumb lines to check building alignment
  10. Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights
  11. Ensuring compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures, including health and safety
  12. Maintaining accurate records/documentation associated with work undertaken

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
