The role of a GIS Officer is to work with geospatial data and technology to support various projects and initiatives. This involves developing, updating, and maintaining databases and spatial datasets.

The position also involves managing GIS datasets, performing spatial analysis, and using decision-support tools for project planning. Effective communication with stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, communities, and government representatives, is essential.
The successful candidate will have experience in environmental monitoring and technical surveys, as well as advanced proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, or QGIS. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geography, GIS, or a related field is also required.
