Geospatial Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Analyst to fulfill a key role in our organization.

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of ERDAS Imagine, Pix4D, Context Capture, Python, R, Google Cloud platform including Google Big Query and Google Earth Engine. They will also have extensive geospatial data science analysis and development of tools experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining specialized geospatial analysis tools specific to Green Energy following quality development processes
  • Performing geospatial analytics utilizing ESRI, FME, and Imagine specifically for Green Energy Projects; including land (terrain, hydrographic, vegetation) and sea (bathymetry, glaciers)
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a centralized geospatial visualization tool (ESRI Portal) that integrates data, studies, and project controls information that support stakeholders globally
  • Utilizing Aerial, UAV, LiDAR, Satellite, and NDVI data products to derive analysis and support Green Energy studies
  • Detailed geospatial data management including auditing and editing skills within ArcSDE SQL database and other systems
  • Advanced mapping capabilities mainly within the ESRI suite
  • Developing and maintaining asset tracking capabilities and geofencing of assets for logistics planning and other analyses
  • Procurement, analysis, and management of datasets relevant to Green Energy Projects

The successful candidate will possess:

  • At least 3+ years geospatial experience via industry experience or tertiary studies - Essential
  • At least 1+ years in Green Energy industry - Preferred
  • Ability to conduct effective training courses to key stakeholders and geospatial team members - Highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in Cartography, Geospatial Sciences or equivalent - Essential
  • Qualifications in Programming; Software Engineering, Computer Science - Preferred
