Contract Administrator

Job Summary:
The Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to support the operational delivery of our facility maintenance contract in the Bowen Basin. This part-time position will be based in the township of Moranbah and will work closely with our team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the onboarding and induction of new staff members
- Maintain accurate records of fleet and staff information
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely receipting
- Research and identify training opportunities for staff
- Conduct internal audits to ensure site compliance
- Represent the Council as a professional and responsive partner to our clients
- Perform other administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar operational environment
- Experience working in and understanding of mine site compliance is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel
- Strong IT skills and attention to detail
- Excellent typing skills and minute-taking abilities
- Preferred but not essential experience using Kronos, Coupa, and Intellics
