Job Summary:

The Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to support the operational delivery of our facility maintenance contract in the Bowen Basin. This part-time position will be based in the township of Moranbah and will work closely with our team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the onboarding and induction of new staff members
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet and staff information
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely receipting
  • Research and identify training opportunities for staff
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure site compliance
  • Represent the Council as a professional and responsive partner to our clients
  • Perform other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar operational environment
  • Experience working in and understanding of mine site compliance is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent typing skills and minute-taking abilities
  • Preferred but not essential experience using Kronos, Coupa, and Intellics
