NDT Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced NDT specialist to work with us in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality testing services, designing test arrangements, and performing mechanical and metallurgical testing in accordance with NATA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare onsite and laboratory-based testing services.
  • Determine test arrangements and loads in accordance with client's requirements.
  • Select test methods, organize equipment, and perform tests in line with LMATS procedures and NATA standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, undertake site inspections, and liaise with clients.
  • Review test failure data, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting test outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Material properties, electronic principles, mathematics, and technical project management.
  • Advanced NDT, condition monitoring, structural health monitoring, and quality management.
  • Commercial awareness, business improvement, and project management techniques relevant to the engineering industry.
  • Regulatory and international standards requirements, technology, safety, and environmental considerations.
  • Interaction between NDT and other engineering functions, consequences of failure, and contribution to asset management and life extension.
  • Root cause analysis and learning from experience processes.

Essential Attributes & Qualifications:

  • Relevant AINDT certificates or ability to obtain (UT/MT/RT/PT Level 2 ISO 9712).
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience as an NDT Technician.
  • Computer literacy - technical report writing.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for job completion.
  • Manual C-Class driving license.
