Our Banking and Financial Services Engineering Enablers Team at Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to deliver industry-leading levels of reliability, security, and ease of use.

The successful candidate will own the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of team-owned products and platforms, as well as the growth and development of an engineering team. As a tech lead, you will write code, represent the team, review and plan for feature deliveries, deal with the details of project management, and help developers in their careers.


What we offer

  • Experienced Senior software engineer with a strong focus on Java, Typescript, and React
  • Experience in designing and developing cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Solid understanding and exposure to containerization and orchestration, Kubernetes
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging
  • Experience with platform engineering and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
