About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the engineering capabilities for your squad and working closely with the Senior Chapter Lead and Capability Leads to ensure your team members are realizing their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering capabilities for your squad and work closely with the Senior Chapter Lead and Capability Leads.
  • Form partnerships with Solution Architects and Technology leaders across Woolworths Group to help implement the Group eCommerce platform strategy.
  • Work with the relevant Practice/Capability Leaders to identify opportunities to build and enhance capability, continuously improve tools and processes, and upskill your team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of engineering team leadership experience.
  • Minimum 10 or more years professional experience with .Net technologies.
  • A dedication and a keen interest in building well-architected systems that process high volumes of data and communicate via Event Driven technologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with cloud services in either of the major cloud providers Azure/GCP/AWS. (Azure experience is preferred)
  • Solid experience with NoSql database systems such as MongoDB.
