Job Title: Manager, Child Safeguarding

Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Child Safeguarding. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of child safety and protection principles, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

About the Role

The Manager, Child Safeguarding will be responsible for ensuring that all reportable conduct matters are appropriately investigated and reported to the Office of Children's Guardian. This role will also support the underlying Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by delivering services that contribute to enabling students to achieve the fullness of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and report all reportable conduct matters to the Office of Children's Guardian
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of child safety and protection within the Diocese
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff on child safety and protection principles
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with child safety and protection regulations
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
  • Significant experience in child safety and protection, including management and leadership roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and external stakeholders
