We are seeking an enthusiastic Recreational Activities Officer to drive resident engagement and participation in social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will lead mental health and wellbeing programs that empower residents' choices and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and lead activities that meet residents' social and recreational needs while promoting independence and quality of life.
- Assess and document program effectiveness by tracking residents' progress and making changes as needed.
- Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Equivalent: A relevant qualification that demonstrates expertise in recreation and leisure management.
- Senior First Aid Certificate: Current certification in senior first aid to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Experience in Aged or Community Care Settings: Previous experience working with older adults or in community care settings.
- Strong Organisation and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to Solve Problems Independently: Self-motivated and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.
