We are seeking a skilled System Development Engineer (Security) to join our team in AU, who can work efficiently and routinely deliver the right things with limited guidance. As a key member of our security organization, you will contribute to creating and maintaining a high bar for security across all of Amazon's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with security professionals to determine automation needs and deliver solutions, utilizing tooling and scripting to automate and scale.
  • Evaluate existing tooling and scripting for effectiveness, identifying opportunities to enhance and improve.
  • Focus on ambiguous problem areas in existing or new development initiatives, taking a long-term view of your team's systems and their place in the architecture.
  • Proactively fix operational deficiencies and/or propose projects that have significant business and/or customer impact, being an exceptional diagnostician when resolving operational or performance issues.
  • Holding or attaining an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance is a requirement for this role.
