Clinical Research Assistant Role

This part-time opportunity will give you hands-on experience in clinical trial coordination and expose you to a cutting-edge medical research environment.

About the Role
  • Assist in conducting an investigator-initiated clinical trial, The Genetics of Glaucoma Trial.
  • Conduct ocular assessments, including visual fields, OCT imaging, and intraocular pressure.
  • Support clinical procedures and data collection according to trial protocols (training provided).
  • Manage patient scheduling, communication, and accurate data entry.
  • Liaise with patients, optometrists, and healthcare staff to ensure smooth trial delivery.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Nursing, Orthoptics, or a relevant medically registered discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical assessments used in optometry.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
