About the Role
We are seeking a scholar with expertise in education of the deaf, early intervention, and psychology to join our team. As a senior lecturer, you will have the opportunity to design and deliver postgraduate courses, undertake research, and provide leadership in the development of new educational programs.
This is a permanent full-time role working 38 hours per week across 5 days. You will report directly to the Director and be part of a dynamic team that aims to drive innovation in hearing and vision services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality learning and teaching in one or more fields of education of the deaf, early intervention, and psychology.
- Undertake research in areas related to education and/or early intervention for deaf and hard of hearing children.
- Provide leadership in the development of new pre-service postgraduate coursework for early intervention, education, allied health, and other associated professionals.
- Fulfill a clinical role as a psychologist with children who are deaf or hard of hearing within the early intervention and school-aged programs.
Requirements
- A doctoral level qualification in education and/or psychology, or a relevant discipline.
- Evidence of delivering high-quality learning and teaching in one or more fields of education of the deaf, early intervention, and psychology.
- Excellent skills as a practitioner in your relevant discipline and ability to supervise the practical experience of teachers and/or early intervention professionals.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
- A record of engagement and fostering relationships with external stakeholders.
- A sustained record of research and quality publications, with a growing national and/or international reputation and experience with research student supervision.
