Heavy Vehicle Operator Role

The role of a Heavy Vehicle Operator is vital in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of roads, footpaths and laneways. As part of the Cleaning Operations team, you will be responsible for operating and driving heavy vehicles to ensure the city is kept clean and free of waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various plant equipment including street sweepers to maintain road cleanliness.
  • Hold a current Heavy Vehicle (HR) driver's licence.
  • Be physically fit and able to complete physically demanding tasks.
  • Be available to work weekday shifts, some weekends and public holidays.
  • Have a proven clean driving record.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and Street Sweepers.
  • Heavy vehicle (HR) drivers' licence.
