Claims Support Specialist Job Overview

This role offers the opportunity to enhance your customer service and administrative skills while gaining valuable experience in the insurance and construction industries.

About the Position

As a Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and administrative support in relation to multiple property insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new claims, schedule estimators and submit quotes
  • Manage incoming calls and make outbound calls relating to claims
  • Update records in internal and client systems
  • Prepare and provide documentation related to the claim
  • Authorise purchase orders to specialist trades
  • Approve incoming invoices from respective trades
  • Develop and present scope and contract amendments
Requirements
  • Demonstrated customer service and communication expertise
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities
  • Capacity to plan and prioritise tasks
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • Insurance and/or building industry experience is desirable

This role requires occasional overtime during periods of high demand.
