Cadet Environmental Health Officers work with experienced professionals in inspections, investigations, and public health programs while pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health).

This cadetship offers the opportunity to combine full-time employment with paid study and on-the-job learning.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with inspections of food premises, public swimming pools, skin penetration premises, water systems, and other environmental health investigations as required.
  • Support investigations into environmental complaints and public health issues.
  • Develop knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to the performance of the duties of this position.
  • Help implement health programs and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and data for environmental health projects.
  • Participate in community education and health promotion activities.
Requirements
  • Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health).
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Full rights to work and study in Australia.
