Vac Truck Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vac Truck Operator to join our team in the Barossa Valley. As an accomplished driver and operator, you will be responsible for performing hydro excavation works on various work sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive the VAC truck with precision and care
  • Frequently fill the truck unit with water to ensure optimal performance
  • Ensure continuous vacuum operation throughout your shift
  • Properly dispose of spoil daily, adhering to environmental regulations
  • Maintain and meticulously look after the truck to guarantee its longevity
  • Deliver results to a high standard, consistently meeting expectations
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, prioritizing efficiency and productivity

Key Requirements:

  • Holding a valid HR truck licence is essential for this role
  • Previous experience operating a VAC truck is highly desirable
  • A current White Card (Construction Induction Card) is mandatory
  • A reliable mode of transportation is required for regular commutes
  • You must possess a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols
  • Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor tasks
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment
