Permits and Registration Officer

We are seeking a skilled Permits and Registration Officer to join our team at Programmed. This is a temporary contract with the potential to extend and become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and assessing permit applications in line with relevant legislation and regulations to activate economic activity and protect health and safety.
  • Delivering various permit types and ensuring accurate records are kept within Council systems.
  • Providing a high-quality customer experience through timely, proactive, and thorough interactions.

Requirements

  • Experience in administration and customer service roles.
  • Local government experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
  • National police check completed in the last six months or willingness to obtain one.
