Senior Financial Accountant Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced financial accountant to lead our finance team. As a senior financial accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

About the Role
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant financial regulations, including QBCC regulations, PQC compliance, and tax legislation.
  • Assist in the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Provide expert financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and CPA or CA qualification.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a financial accounting role, with a blend of public practice and industry experience, ideally in construction or related sectors.
  • Proven expertise with Australian Accounting Standards, tax compliance, financial reporting, and tax planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
