Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Automation Expert to lead the implementation, maintenance and ownership of PCS/MES and PLC process recipes. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders to define required hardware, developing software and system coordination for Commissioning and Validation of Process Systems.

Responsibilities
  • Technical subject matter expert including oversight & review of contractors' work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation
  • Ensure overall recipe design and implementation meets Engineering and Manufacturing requirements for plant operation
  • Ensure installation and configuration to ISA-S88/S95 standard during project phases: Requirements definition, detailed design generation, software configuration, system integration and Qualification testing
  • Participate in Execution System validation strategy with Global and Site CSV & Quality representatives
  • Perform Project Manager Role on an interim basis ensuring project work is completed within budget and on schedule
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant Science discipline i.e. Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • At least 5 years practical experience in pharmaceutical industry including direct management experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Execution Systems/Automation
  • Specific experience in process automation, MES and batch manufacturing industry standards (ISA S88 & S95)
  • Hands on experience in Recipe and Workflow Authoring, configuring master data and equipment in MES would be an advantage
  • Direct experience designing, building, deploying and supporting automation and execution systems in a process-based manufacturing environment
