About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Trade Trainer to join our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the electrical trade training activities, supporting the development of a qualified and experienced electrical trade workforce.
  • Develop and deliver electrical trade training and workplace inductions, using contemporary learning and assessment strategies.
  • Guide and develop the electrical trade workforce in best practice within a shipbuilding environment.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Assess and monitor learner progress and performance in line with business requirements and electrical trade frameworks/standards.
  • Provide reporting on the evaluation of learner performance and provide ongoing validation of training programs.
  • Provide information and advice on electrical trade training and assessment services.
  • Apprentice management and development.
About You
  • Extensive electrical trade experience and an electrical trade qualification.
  • Previous shipbuilding experience is highly regarded.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support technical workforce learners and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Technical trainer/instructor experience or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is highly regarded.
  • A commitment to undertake and obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
