**Electrical Tradesperson Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join our team at BAE Systems Australia, working on the prestigious Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigate Program.

As an Electrical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for executing electrical tasks within our production team, ensuring delivery in line with the manufacturing plan. You will work on-board naval vessels and in workshop environments, undertaking tasks as described in electrical job cards and completing associated documentation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Execute electrical tasks within production to ensure delivery in line with the manufacturing plan
  • Carry out tasks on-board naval vessels and in workshop environments
  • Undertake tasks as described in electrical job cards and complete associated documentation
  • Ensure time-keeping accuracy by booking to correct job cards
  • Interpret and utilize electrical technical drawings
  • Comply with required quality and technical directions contained within job card work scopes and process instructions
  • Ensure all equipment and areas used are maintained in a safe and organized manner
  • Understand and abide by safety policies and associated documentation, such as Take 5, Standard Operating Procedures, and Risk Assessments
  • Work on tasks as part of a workgroup and individually
  • Work with apprentices and oversee their skills and development as appropriate
  • Interact with other trade groups and business functions to enable delivery of the program
  • Undertake training as deemed appropriate for the role

**Requirements:**

  • Trade certificate III Electro technology Electrician
  • Hold and maintain an Australian Electrical Licence and any appropriate licencing for the equipment used and tasks performed within the shipyard
  • Demonstrated experience as an electrical tradesperson
  • Must be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance
