Cloud Data Leader

We are seeking a Principal Data Engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of a cloud-native data platform.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning end-to-end data engineering deliverables, architecture decisions, and technology selection in a greenfield environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and scale a cloud-native data platform for analytics, AI, and decision-making.
  • Develop data pipelines and infrastructure; implement best practices for data engineering, governance, and security.
  • Provide thought leadership, mentoring, and set standards for the data engineering team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience designing and building large-scale data platforms in AWS.
  • Expertise in AWS data services such as Glue, EMR, S3, Redshift, Kinesis, etc.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills for data pipeline development.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerisation).
  • Solid understanding of data governance and security within AWS.
  • Knowledge of data quality, monitoring, and observability tools.
