As a Veterinary Nurse, you will be part of a cohesive and supportive team that values communication, teamwork, and delivering exceptional care to animals and their owners.
- Deliver high-standard compassionate care to patients and clients.
- Plan and schedule daily tasks.
- Care for hospitalized patients and recovering patients after procedures.
- Prepare, facilitate, and monitor procedures, including anaesthesia.
- Ensure a clean and hygienic environment throughout the hospital.
- Assist with consultations.
- Conduct patient handovers.
Requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a veterinary nurse, with specialty experience preferred but training available.
- Strong technical nursing skills, including IV catheter placement, blood sampling, transfusions, feeding tube maintenance, central line care, and endoscope setup and care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medication dosage calculations and administration.
- Excellent anesthesia and monitoring skills, with a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
- Good general nursing knowledge base.
- Open to learning and receptive to feedback.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A positive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Proven ability to problem-solve.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
