Summer Holiday Pharmacist Opportunity

We are seeking registered pharmacists to join our team for short-term summer holiday positions in Central Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in rural pharmacy and contribute to the delivery of healthcare services in a unique and challenging environment.

- Casual hourly rate based on prior hospital experience, approx $69.90/hour + 11.5% super
As a registered pharmacist in our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and drug information services to Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Hospitals, as well as in-patient and out-patient dispensing, and non-sterile manufacturing. You will also provide medicines and advice to remote health clinics in the NT, WA, SA, and QLD border.
Alice Springs Hospital is a 207-bed facility providing a general range of secondary, and some tertiary, inpatient, outpatient, and specialist services. The hospital has a diverse and complex medicine, with a prevalence of rheumatic heart disease, bronchiectasis, chronic liver, and renal disease, along with diabetes in a young population with a median age of just 34.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a modern and progressive pharmacy department, which employs 19 pharmacists, 1 intern pharmacist, and 10 pharmacy technicians. We are an accredited SHPA Foundation Residency Program site and currently support 3 Resident positions.
