About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team at Epiroc as the Director of Operational Excellence and Process Optimization. This critical role will play a pivotal part in driving business growth and further developing our operational capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive operational strategies to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste across our manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, and marketing teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging lean processes and other methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
- Optimize Product Design: Work closely with engineering teams to optimize product design for manufacturability, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality output.
- Monitor and Analyze Key Performance Indicators: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, cycle times, and ensure targets are met.
- Cost-Reduction Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs in procurement, materials management, and inventory control while maintaining product quality standards.
- Change Management: Lead and support change management efforts for the implementation of new technologies, automation, and process improvements.
- Team Development: Foster a high-performance culture by developing, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and Epiroc's ways of working and environmental policies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of operational leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in the mining or industrial equipment sectors.
- Commercial Experience: Proven experience in running service operations, aftermarket, and consumables.
- Continuous Improvement Expertise: Strong understanding of lean processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent people leadership skills, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent at all organizational levels.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills and the ability to drive operational success through KPIs and performance metrics.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change within a diverse team environment.
