About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Metallurgist to join our team at Golden Grove, a high-grade copper, zinc, and precious metals underground mining operation in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of metallurgical professionals, fostering collaboration and professional development.
  • Lead and manage metallurgical activities across production and projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor and optimize concentrator performance, focusing on compliance with metallurgical targets.
  • Analyze data to identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop and oversee test work programs aimed at continuous improvement in metallurgical processes.
  • Maintain and review metallurgical accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity.
About You

Our ideal candidate will have solid experience as a metallurgist, including a sound understanding of concentrator processes, including ROM management and blending, crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, dewatering, and concentrate storage / transport.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in metallurgy or chemical engineering.
  • An understanding of mineralogical data and knowledge of mineral flotation.
  • Previous experience with metallurgical accounting.
  • Familiarity with PI Historian and statistical analysis.
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence (manual).
