
Vessel Maintenance Expert

Experienced marine professionals are sought for the role of Maintenance Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine planned maintenance on a fleet of vessels
- Attend to breakdown maintenance, assist contractors in higher-level maintenance, and provide technical support to onboard engineers, skippers, and crew when required
- Perform ad-hoc duties, both onboard and around jetties/offices
The successful candidate will have exposure to heavy diesel machinery, auxiliary systems, electrical, and instrumentation systems, dry dock works, hull structures, and fittings.
We are looking for someone with experience in welding, painting, plumbing, electrical fault-finding, and basic understanding of workshop practices, including OH&S and housekeeping.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, and computer knowledge, particularly with MEX fleet management software or similar, is an advantage.
The ability to work in a dynamic team environment, being proactive, and meeting deadlines in peak periods are crucial to the success of this role.
Requirements:- Certificate in Mechanical Trade (Diesel fitter, electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing) - preferred
- Work within confined spaces ticket (preferred)
- Working at Heights ticket (preferred)
- Senior First Aid/Advanced Resuscitation (preferred)
- Open Drivers Licence
- Marine Engine Drivers Ticket - not essential
